Maximized for virtual desktop infrastructure, the Dell R740 allows three 300W or six 150W GPUs.
You can also free up space and improve boot times with the Boot Optimized Storage Subsystem. This raid controller allows full use of 2 x M.2 SSDs that can also be configured as non-RAID or RAID1.
The R740 is also able to support four Network Interface Controllers making it a suitable supplement to the virtual machine environment.
To cut down on costs and maintenance, the PowerEdge server houses two hot-swappable AC power supplies for low and high running sessions and a thermal layout able to cool the most essential and important hardware components.
