ICX 7250 08.0.91T211 boots as Non-UFI

Posted on 22 Aug, 2019, in Uncategorized

Using SmartZone updated two stacks one stack was successful the other not.Updated from 08.0.90bT211 to 08.0.91T211 unit 2 was still up and unit 1 kept rebooting because of software not sync’ed over and over. Unit 1 was showing 08.0.91T211 Non-UFI and unit 2 was showing 08.0.91T211 UFI.Unconfigured stack on unit 1 and then manually load firmware then is showed UFI but kept rebooting because Unit 2 said it was out of sync.Disconnected Unit 1 from unit 2 manually uploaded firmware to unit 2 and reloaded. Stack was happy, is this normal?Ran 08.0.30 for 2 years no problems

Ruckus ZoneDirector 3000 setting VLANs problems

Posted on 21 Aug, 2019, in Uncategorized

Hi All,

Recently I’ve setup different VLANs on my network and would
like to split internal and guest WLANs to two different VLANs.

Ruckus ZoneDirector 3000 with ZoneFlex 7363 APs. Layer 3
switch does my routing, I’ve setup VLANs on my switches with correct gateway
and IP Helper (I can connect to different VLANs and get an IP address from DHCP
server and access the Internet). I would like to use VLAN 20 for internal
laptops and VLAN 30 for guests. But I am having a lot of problems and hope that
someone can point me in the right direction.

I have tried different settings combinations but my
Zonedirector just cannot see any of my APs. Quick configuration overview:

Three VLANs – 10 (PCS), 20 (Internal Wireless), 30 (Guest
Wireless).

On the controller:

Configure – System
– Set an IP address for Zonedirector on VLAN 10 with correct Gateway and DNS,
Access VLAN 1 (if I set an IP from VLAN 20 and/or set Access VLAN to anything
apart from VLAN 1 – Zonedirector becomes inaccessible), port on the switch that
Zonedirector connected to is set to VLAN 10.

Configure – WLANs
-2 WLANs. Internal set NO to Isolate traffic, Access VLAN 20. Guest set NO to Isolate
traffic, Access VLAN 30.

Configure – Access Points
– All of previously (connected before I’ve set up VLANs) connected APs are
showing. Access Point Group – just one group with all APs. In Port Setting
option – set LAN3 connection to “Trunk Port” with Untag ID set to 1.

Monitor – Access Points-
All Access Points show as Disconnected.

Ports on the switch that APs connected to set to Trunk, with
VLAN 1 – Untagged; VLAN 10, 20 and 30 – Trunk.

I would really appreciate if someone can point me in the
right direction. Thanks.

ICX7850-48F 1gb link to ICX7450 SFP shows up/down (TSB 2019-001)

Posted on 13 Aug, 2019, in Uncategorized

When connecting an ICX7850-48F at 1 GbE speed to an ICX7450 SFP port configured for 1 GbE, the link shows up on the ICX7850-48F but shows down on the ICX7450 switch. This is due to a miss-match of the auto-negotiation port mode for the two switches.

Rucksu ICX7450 – Dynamic IPSEC VPN configuration

Posted on 07 Aug, 2019, in Uncategorized

Hi team,I have been tasked to confgure an ICX7450 running the ICX7450-PREM-LIC- SW and ICX7400-SERVICE-MOD. Switch is running SPR08070 code. We have around 10 remote devices that are all using Dynamic IP 4G internet links and third party router software that need to establish an IPSEC tunnel back to the Rukus headend. Has anyone done this sort of deployment before using this hardware? Thanks.

How does the user password aging work on ICX devices after the 180 days o more?

Posted on 07 Aug, 2019, in Uncategorized

Hi everyone!I would like to know how the user password aging works. I read the security config guide for the  firmware version 08070 (that is the code that I have in the switches). It says when the user aging is enable, the CLI will automatically prompt users to change their passwords when they attempt to sign on. So, if after 180 days I try to log in to the switch, do I have to put my old password and then the CLI ask for a new one? Can I change the period of time of 180 days? Also, is there a way to sync this password update if I have multiple switches with user password aging enabled? I mean, Can I only change or update in one switch and this change will be sync in the others?I hope someone can help me.Regards.
