ICX6450 Stacking Question

Posted on 25 May, 2019, in Uncategorized

Hello, I have 6 ICX 6450 in a stack. 3 on one floor and 3 on another floor. We’re no longer leasing 1 of the floors and therefore consolidating everything. The 3 switches that need to be moved are acting as the active and standby switches with all others being members. What would be the best way to move these switches?Should I make one of the switches NOT being moved the active switch and reload the stack before unplugging those switches to be moved? Or can I just unplug them and move them without doing anything? Not sure what happens to the stack when it loses both active and standby switches.Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Stacking ICX-6450-48P and ICX-7450-48P. Any reason why this would not be possible?

I would like to stack some 6450s in with some 7450 stacks. Is there any reason why this would not be possible?

Struggling with one DHCP server, and multiple VLANs on ICX 7150 Switch image

Posted on 24 May, 2019, in Uncategorized

I have one DHCP server in default VLAN.  I have multiple VLAN (voice) and I want the ports on the VLAN to grab dhcp addresses from additional scopes.  I know that I need to use IP Helper, but all instructions refer to an IP address assigned to your VLAN.  I don’t see where to do that…only IP address assigned is the siwtches IP.

Icx7150-c12p will no power up

Switch will not power up. No LEDs no humming. Nothing. Is there any way to bring this back to life? Or is it just dead?
Thx,
Scott

ICX7150 – no available SSH session

Posted on 24 May, 2019, in Uncategorized

Good evening to all, I would have a problem on a Ruckus ICX7150-48P-4X10GR switch installed in the company where I work, in some cases it involves connecting to ssh.Initially we had no problem connecting to ssh, for about two weeks it has happened that trying to connect in ssh we have this error (I add stamp).Receiving this error is as if there were no more sessions available for the ssh connection, connecting to the console giving the “sh who” command we actually see that the ssh sessions are almost all closed and therefore available. The solution to this problem is to wait a few minutes (usually 10-15) to be able to connect again.Has anyone like this happened to anyone? The version mounted on the switch isSW: Version 08.0.80dT211Thank you in advance

ICX 6430-48 web management

Posted on 24 May, 2019, in Uncategorized

Hello everyone,I apologize if my question may seem silly, but I have to configure a ICX 6430-48 switch and I followed the procedure in the instruction manual, so I connected with the hyperterminal using the console cable, I set an IP address, I created a local user, and I activated the web-management … but when I try to connect via the net with http I can log in but I only get the image of the switch with the LEDs that give me real time the activity of the switch itself (I tried with various browsers and also with different operating systems, and it doesn’t change anything). Why doesn’t the menu appear to configure the switch via the web? Could it be that there is some problem with the license? Or is there any other passage to do?Thank you all, and sorry again for the banality of my questions.FrancescoP.S. I have attached the screenshot of the web page that appears to me.

ICX 7850-48F 1 Gig not connecting to ICX7450 or ICX7750

Posted on 24 May, 2019, in Uncategorized

This seems like a very simple configuration, wondering what may have changed to make it not work intuitively. Trying to get our 7850s stood up in the lab, these are the 48Fs, so the 1/10/25G ports on module 1.I can’t seem to get the 1G links to connect to either a 7450’s 1/10 ports on module 2 or a 7750’s 1/10 ports on module 1. The 7850 shows up but the 7450 and 7750 shows down. ICX-7750 routing and switching concurrently

Posted on 24 May, 2019, in Uncategorized

We’ve used ICX-7750 switches for a while to support fiber links to all of our campus wings but now we are looking to use the devices to replace our aging router for each school.  We were able to configure the port 1 for our WAN link and port 2 for our LAN side and routing everything correctly (we only use simple RIP routing) but ports 20 through 48 go out to our wings that are on the same LAN as port 2.  I’m sure there is a simple way to bridge these ports, I’m just not familiar enough with the router software to know how to do it.Any assistance is greatly appreciated
